Description
This is a photograph I took of the "tall ship" named The Friendship Salem while on vacation in Massachusetts. Some brief history about her:
It is a reconstruction of a 171-foot three-masted Salem East Indiaman that was built in 1797. She traveled the world trading for exotic spices, sugar and coffee, making 16 voyages to China, Java, Sumatra, Madras, London. Hamburg, Archangel, St.Petersburg, and other European ports and was captured by the British in the War of 1812.
~ Photo taken with a Cannon EOS 350 D...enjoy!
