The Gypsy and the Wanderer
About me...well, let's see...
It all began over 2 decades ago when a sibling's taunt catapulted me into drawing. From there, I developed an intense love affair with art that would lead me through high school towards a promising career in graphic/commercial arts.
Slowly encroaching upon a time of immense celebration of scholarly salutations, I began to lose my heart and find common sense...or so I thought.
After succumbing to the notion that, "...France was full of artists..." and, "...what this world needs is more men like police and construction workers...", I thought the responsible reaction would be a 'skilled trade' to put dinner on the table.
So I shelved my inspirations and turned a blind eye to my visions for a taste of the real world, a job in the auto industry. Throughout the last twelve years, as my spirit wandered aimlessly, something always felt like it was missing...eyes burning into the back of my head...voices from the astral winds whispering to me.
That's when I found GFX, and an extremely talented artist whose works made me realize that I had taken the wrong path in life. Viewing those images seemed to open up a secret corridor from my dead-end path back to my true happiness, my love...my art.
Perusing through GFX is inspirational to say the least...even intimidating at times, but I think I have found a new home to rekindle the love affair I lost so many years ago...it truly is never too late...
BTW, I obviously found some 'story telling' skills along the way, as well...hope you liked it!
Best regards,
Matt
